APOLLO SPACECRAFT - FLOWN ARTIFACTS - The collection below consists of gorgeous lucite displays, each measuring 3x4x1/2". They all have Lucite bases, making them perfect for display. Included in this collection are displays for every one of the manned Apollo missions, including all of the missions that landed on the moon.
Also included in the collection are displays from the two unmanned Apollo test flights - Apollo 4 and 6.
Each display is described and priced individually. All displays contain material that was flown in space, including the flights that went to the moon.
This collection makes up a complete history of the manned Apollo program as well as the Apollo test programs.

They decended close to the lunar surface as a trial run for the next Apollo flight which would be the first to land on the moon. APOLLO 14 - Silver medallion measuring 1/2" in diameter, containing silver that was flown to the moon on Apollo 14. This medallion was made from a ball of silver taken to the moon by Alan Shepard. Shepard was not authorized to take the silver, so it was taken from him, turned into medallions and distributed to members of the Franklin Mint Collecotrs Society. The medallion comes in a plastic holder which also has a statement of authenticity.

FLOWN TO THE SURFACE OF THE MOON AND BACK TO EARTH – Most people are unaware that Russia actually landed a spacecraft on the surface of the moon. The craft scooped up samples of lunar soil and returned them to earth. Offered here is an authentic piece of that spacecraft, Luna 24. The fragment is embedded in a spectacular Lucite display, showing an image of the Luna 24 spacecraft, a photo of the moon showing the landing site, etc. This piece comes with a photocopy of the letter of authentication, in Russian, from the cosmonaut who obtained this fragment. FORD, GERALD R. - Rare complete text of the pardon of Richard Nixon on an 8 x 11" sheet wof white paper with the words "The White House, Washington" imprinted at the top in blue. At the bottom of the document is a blue "Gerald Ford" signature. There is no watermark on the page, so it is not likely that this is official White House stationery. Full texts of the pardon signed by Ford are rare. Typically, only the last two paragraphs are found on the market.

Ford is listed as one of the member of the Commission and he has signed the document next to his name. His signature is in bright blue. Excellent condition and quite an important document.
FORD, GERALD R. - Rare signed limited edition of his miniature book "Global Stability", printed by Lord John Press, 1981. This is the complete text of Ford's address at Visa International, Quebec, September 8, 1980. Ford has signed the book on the limitation page at the end of the text. This is #259 of an edition of 400. This book is rarely seen on the market. Pristine condition.

GAYE, MARVIN. An original 8 1/2x14” “Billboard Hot Soul Singles” sheet, showing Gaye’s song Let’s Get It On” on the #1 position. Gaye has signed the sheet in red ink, below the title of his song. This sheet has been double matted and framed with a b&w photo of Gaye leaning against a car. The overall size of the piece is 20x26”. Authentic signatures of Gaye are scarce considering he was shot to death by his father when he was 45 years old.

(MC GUIRE, MARK) – 1x2” section of a wooden baseball bat used by McGuire in a baseball game during the 1998 season. This was the season he hit 70 home runs. The bat section is double matted with a color photo of McGuire at home plate, having just swung and apparently hit a home run, since everyone at the plate and in the stands is looking toward left field. There is also a brass plaque describing and authenticating the section of bat. The overall size of this ready-to-frame piece is 12x20”. Excellent condition.
